Every day, it looks like we’re closer and closer to Prince William and Prince Harry reconciling. The idea started to take shape after Harry reunited with his father, King Charles, after over a year of not speaking. But the issues between the brothers always seemed to be bigger. Will the two finally bury the hatchet?
There’s a chance, particularly as it’s been confirmed that the British royal family is expected to visit the US to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday. Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to join the celebrations next July to commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla have been invited to Washington, DC, for a State Visit in April. Page Six reports that the King will travel if his health allows him to do so. “We’re hoping all the senior royals will come over,” a source said, “This is going to be a huge year for both the US and the UK.” It would be William’s first trip to the US since 2023.
But will that include Harry and Meghan? “Obviously, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t working royals, so they will not be invited to any celebrations,” the source said. “Any invitation would have to come at the behest of the royal family themselves.”
Trump himself has spoken about Prince Harry, reportedly saying that he wouldn’t deport him, and adding, “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
All of this comes after reports that Harry and William are nearing a reconciliation. RadarOnline.com recently reported that William has “finally caved” to pressure to set up a meeting with his estranged brother. Reportedly, both King Charles and his wife, Kate Middleton, have been pushing for a meeting between the two.
The outlet adds that William is “finally coming around to the idea of truce talks.” But he’s reportedly got terms. “There’s no way he’s willing to pick up the phone and do this casually,” sources said. Instead, according to reports, any meeting “would need to be a supervised discussion, handled with total discretion.”
RadarOnline.com also previously reported on William’s conditions for a meeting. “William’s willing to meet Harry, but only if everything happens strictly on his terms. That means no Meghan, no aides, and zero chance of it ending up as content for a documentary or book. He’s deeply wary of being secretly recorded or having his words twisted – the trust between them is completely gone. Harry will basically face being frisked before they talk,” a royal insider told the outlet.
“William’s terrified that whatever he says could be twisted and made public. He’s not willing to risk being burned again. If Harry wants to talk, it has to stay completely private – no recordings, no pictures, and no version of events spun for publicity,” the outlet also added.
Does this mean the meeting is happening? One thing is for sure: with this confirmed trip, everything seems to be finally falling into place for not just Prince William, but Kate Middleton as well, to reunite with Harry.
