Meanwhile, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has a message for travelers who dress inappropriately on flights during the holidays (you know who you are).
BACKGRIDWhile speaking exclusively to Fox Business, Duffy said travelers should dress better so they will behave more civilly on planes.
He said he had noticed “a degradation in civility” among air travelers in recent years. Some travelers always cause disturbances on planes. And they’re usually wearing pajamas and slippers.
COBRA TEAM / BACKGRIDDuffy asked travelers to “say please and thank you to our pilots and to our flight attendants” and to dress “with some respect.”
He asked people to dress in better clothing – not sleepwear – when traveling this holiday season.
“People dress up like they’re going to bed when they fly,” he said.
BACKGRID“You know, whether it’s a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little bit better, which encourages us to maybe behave a little better,” he said. “Let’s try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport. I think that’s positive.”
LionsShareNews / BACKGRIDHoliday travel is stressful for everyone – travelers, flight attendants and pilots. Duffy asked people to be kind to others and help the flight attendants put luggage in overhead bins “as a common courtesy and civility.”
“Bringing civility back, I think, enhances the travel experience for everybody.”
The Golden Age of Travel starts with ALL OF US.
Let’s be merry this holiday season as we fly! ??
