The Kooks announce mammoth run of outdoor shows for summer 2026

British indie wonder kids The Kooks have announced an epic run of outdoor summer gigs for 2026, celebrating the 20th anniversary release of their breakthrough debut album, ‘Inside In / Inside Out’.

Scheduled to kick off at Delamare Forest in Northwich on June 17th, the summer jaunt will see the band play further shows in Scarborough, Halifax and Bristol. 

Tickets for all gigs will be available via artist pre-sale on Wednesday October 29th, 2025 at 10AM, with venue pre-sale taking place on Thursday October 30th, 10AM.

Originally released in January 2006, The Kooks’ debut album ‘Inside In / Inside Out’ became a defining record of the mid-2000s British indie rock scene. Blending catchy guitar riffs, breezy melodies, and heartfelt lyrics, the album captured the youthful optimism and raw energy of the era. 

Songs like ‘Naïve’, ‘She Moves in Her Own Way’, and ‘Ooh La’ became instant anthems, propelling the band to mainstream success and earning the album multi-platinum status in the UK. Its easygoing charm and singalong quality helped the LP stand out amid a crowded field of post-Libertines guitar bands, cementing The Kooks as one of the decade’s most beloved acts. 

Nearly two decades later, the record remains a nostalgic touchstone for fans of British indie, its sound continuing to influence new artists exploring the intersection of pop sensibility and indie authenticity.

News of the bands upcoming summer concerts comes following the release of their seventh studio album, ‘Never/Know’ and shortly after they wrapped up a run of their biggest ever headline shows, which included a sold-out show at Manchester’s Co-op Live, described by The Guardian as a “triumphant and touching mass singalong”, and culminated in a career-defining performance at London’s O2 Arena.
